Best Mid Laner

Best midlaner, in my opinion a tough question due to the fact i do not play MID often, since im a ADC one trick, but Strong viable picks are in my opinion, Kat, Malph (AP), Zed, or anything that deletes your opponents health bar faster than yours

I agree totally, in fact I main zed, m7 with like 500k mastery points

Id go for Orianna, although not meta atm, she just does what a Midlaner is supposed to do very well.

If you are talking about champions i would say Qiyana, her kit is just overloaded with gap closers and so much burst damage and stealth.
But the champ is hard to play so you need to practice alot.
Best player, i'd say Caps or Faker

Zed is deffinately one of the best for Mid lane, although another good option is MF :D
