JavaScript is the best way for you, easy to understand and well paid.

Python if you've never programmed before, it's quite intuitive for beginners. When you feel that you've got the hang of it, I'd recommend something from the C family

for web development specifically, you're best off learning to do some dynamic web page stuff with html + javascript + css to start. you probably want to play around with that for a few months if you don't already have a programming background. make incremental games for the browser or a tool for a game you like or something

once you can get something working with that, look in to some web frameworks (react, vue probably the nicest for beginners). do the same projects again using those frameworks, see if you can improve them, do it faster, make it feel nicer to use.

if you just mean programming languages in general then probably python for scripting, c# for more enterprise style work

Python or JavaScript are common recommendations. I don't really know much in the Python realm, but JavaScript can be good, but it can also create bad practices, as there's no structure or rules to it, you can do some very unholy things. If you're comfortable with setting it up, TypeScript would be a good start as well.

it literally just depends on what you want to use the language for. most languages are built with a specific use case in mind, for example, even though python is "easy" to learn, however, it is best used for ML and data analysis, which aren't really "easy" topics (imo)

probs shouldnt learn a language just bc it's "easy" but learn it for what you want to create

If youre looking for something easy: Python
If you want a solid foundation to make you a master developer: C
If youre looking for a job or want to make mobile apps: Java
If you want to try front-end development: Javascript
If youre programming for your startups website: Ruby

To be honest, HTML or CSS was quite easy to learn with. I started on neopets of all sites tbh. Lol what a throwback.
