petsplus tbh, check spigot its very good, thats what i use for my RP servers

I use MyPet, it's pretty fantastic. You can beat mobs with a leash to tame them, and store them. They also have inventories so you can store things on them, and you can give them certain skills to fulfil a need. There's even a way to ride mobs!

It seems to me that the echo pet and miniatures plugin because they have a very short configuration and easy to use

pets plus is my fav and its a premium plugin though so it cost the money

If you mean by pets plugin I am assuming related to pets, but if you are looking for a pet plugin that protects pets I believe Pet Master is the good one out there, but if its just for cosmetics I believe Miniaturepets is the greatest one out there due to its high customization.

Anything invloling bukkit or even more animals tbvh

I have no idea but its probally gonna be something you normally have to pay for but its "leaked" here
