I would suggest find something that is in scope of php 7.x and above. Don`t watch old php courses. Find something that is OOP oriented and see if it fits your needs.

I recommend you to study Laravel Framework. Is the most powerfull feature.
I use this about 6 years until migrate to React.

I think that you need to tell us your level and what you want to do!
My personal advice to start is... PHP is SCRIPTING, so start to create simple scripts, then you will understand and go futher!
