Dont believe the youtube videos. Btc mining is not at all profitable for home based miners. If you set up at an industrial scale than you pay a lot of taxes.

You need to invest much into mining rigs, energy costs. It'll also take time to get back your investment before you actually gain profits.

At this given point, putting any money into bitcoin mining is not worth it. This is with the given exception if you have a lot of money to blow, if you do great you can! The downside of starting now is that bitcoin has advanced over the last year or so and it is just going to keep going up and up. You are much better off in investing into a part of bitcoin itself.

I believe its profitable if you bought bitcoin just now when it dropped, it should rise again and you should make a huge profit from it. I just bought it at $8k with around $100 and now it went up and basically made a free extra $100.
