What Bloody Roar 2 excels at when it comes back is keeping the same great gameplay we had from the first game in the series, but still enhancing it a bit.Players still have access to a wide variety of brutal beast characters to fight and counter.There are still the usual doubts about gameplay like the story and video game modes, and the visuals preserve the look and feel of the original, while adding a new layer of polish to the overall presentation.However, small tweaks make this part worthwhile as a sequel.
First, the story is a great continuation of the original, with the rogue Tylon Zylonthorpes group fighting for the dignity of their race.Fighting games are often not remembered for their stories and rightfully so.But if they can come up with some compelling performances, it really ties things together and pushes players to fight.So it's a welcome bonus and an enhancement to the series.
Then when it comes to the new game modes, the game has done a great job in providing players with everything they could wish for.You have a new survival mode where you have to defeat every character with just one health bar.Watch mode allows you to approach AI warriors and learn new moves and weaknesses.Plus you get a custom game-like mode with cheat codes like god mode, big head mode and all the classic settings.It's a lot of fun and a great addition to the game.
