What resolution will you be rendering at, playing games at etc. My computer now runs all the games at 60 Fps or higher. Some games lag and when I do some designs they lag a little bit.

Nothing needs upgrading here. Your CPU is more than sufficient for the tasks you listed, the lag you experience is likely due to poor optimizations or just one of those things- nothing is perfect.
If you want to upgrade anyway, grab yourself an i7 4790K and a CM 212 EVO to replace that cooler.

If you want an up to date build, it would mean buying a Skylake (Or Haswell E) CPU, a new motherboard and DDR4 RAM.
