I don't know which generation is more stupid, the young kids throwing parties or the old people that refuse to wear a mask when in public. Like, are you trying to kill your loved ones/friends or do you just not care if you die? It's stressful to see other countries handling this while the US is just casually shrugging everything off like there's not a problem.
American exceptionalism at its finest. It might seem callous or cruel to say, but the good news is that the people who don't care to wear a mask or distance because it's ~all a hoax~ are also the older populationsstatistically more likely to die.Younger gens just don't care if they spread it, but hopefully they'll kill their parents and learn a lesson.Fewershitheadrepublicanswho refuse to care about othersis always a good thing!Smile

I live in the deep south and my roommate refuses to stop having random people over and going to bars every night. He acts like it's a fucking insane request for me to be like, "can you not invite tons of random people over to our house that I also live in?????" I can't wait for God to smite this goddamn shitstain of a country. Seriously.

Not only are schools reopening, regular flu season is coming up. I don't even wanna think about how poorly the flu and covid will interact. A lot of people are going to die.

I think this fall and winter can be brutal if we're not careful, and it's not only COVID that we need to be paying attention to.

There are a lot of things going on right now (especially in the United States) that are incredibly concerning. To name a few:

- Earliest M-named storm made landfall this week after we already set records for L, K, J, I, H, G, F, E, and C. An extremely active hurricane season was predicted for this year, and we're just now entering the more intense/active part of hurricane season which has been quite hectic already.
- Enormous wildfires in Northern California
- Widespread social/political unrest.

This is all on top of a pretty shitty COVID response. Once it starts to get cooler outside and people move back indoors it could get pretty crazy. I do think that there is a chance it won't get too crazy with the increased decontamination measures that have been put into place practically everywhere.

I wish people had more empathy for one another. Our lack of leadership is making things worse.

It's funny how some people actually start longing for school and / or work again imo. I think Covid is going to teach a lot of people a lot of lessons and we'll never take this kinda stuff for granted again.

Where are you living, there's plenty of places to go. Most places around me are open. Patios, parks, etc.
