CS:GO LEM players

I am told that above MG rank most use cheats? Is this true? I was GN3 and deranked to SEM. And find silver to be really tough. I feel like im whinging but the variations are so hard to get a good solo MM. You either get cheats, smurfs and then noob team mates its almost impossible to win enoug in a row to rank up.
