My friend and Ihave been creating CSGO maps for some time now.

Personally, I find the whole mapping process extremely satisfying.
Anyone else tried it?

You can download the CS:GO Source Development Kit (SDK) from the Steam tool tab.
Its basically the tool Valve use to make their Source maps.

Very overwhelming at first due to it not being very 'user-friendly.'
Should look it up on Youtube, can be very fun to do at times.

Its a lot of fun, creating a map isnt hard, I've created some maps but only for warming up before comps or to play with friends (1v1, 2v1, 3v3, etc) its very satisfying, I have been wanting to create a defuse map but it takes a lot of time and its better with a few people so you can test the map, if you are looking to make a map just remember that rendering the map when you are done editing it does take time, the more stuff you have/the bigger the map the longer it will take

I haven't made any CS:GO maps but I've had a lot of experience using Source SDK for CS:S.

Yes the compile times do become ridiculously long but i think it's due to the only engine.
