Hi! Im new to photoshop. Can anyone help me how they make black thingy? Like saturation linked to black background with png character in it?

I was hoping anyone can help me. Please

you gotta removed the background, then mask it. These are just masking layers. tons of tuts on YT for this type of stuff.

Thats clipping mask, either click in between two layers to make the top one only show up INSIDE of the bottoms selection or press CTRL + ALT + G

I agree, Photoshop has a huge number of functions that are really hard to figure out. When I need something specific, I always turn to artsy couture customer service for help. They are real professionals and they always know where to start and how to do my request.

There's an Indian bloke on YouTube called PixImperfect whose videos focus a lot of selections. If masks still confuse you, watch him or anyone talking about selections and masks work. He explains well.
