Can tarkov be considered battle royale?

i'm wondering it's the same basics except for the extraction but some "Battle Royale" games also have extraction mechanics.

i would say no, since a battle royale game relies on a zone to move everybody towards each other, last man standing wins and the games aren't detrimental to the next

I think 50/50.
Battle Royale is where a number of players fight against each other in an enclosed space.
Survival is where players have to find a way to survive in that area.

sort of? more of a survival game than a battle royale i guess. there's no rings and its heavily focused on looting for profit rather than just simply winning fights
