Changelog #27 - 29/06/2020

Added:

• Added a CDN to serve some of the static files for testing purposes and data analysis.
  

Improved:

• Improved the header design, searchbar visibility and added the new logo we're going to have on V4. You might be asking why and I can't give you an answer.
  

Fixed:

• Fixed usertitle overflow as reported here. Somehow funny no one noticed this until now.
  
• Fixed an error related to awards.
  
• Fixed an error related to username history.
  
• Fixed two errors related to forum tabs.
  
• Fixed four errors related to edit history.
  
• Fixed an error related to the login history which was caused by API timeouts.
  

Removed:

• Removed appcache since it has been deprecated and is in the process of getting dropped by browsers. Source
  
• Removed e-mail subscriptions for threads and forums. We want to tone down how many emails we send a day because the number has gotten ridiculous.
  

We are also aware of the registration and login issues and are working on a fix. Along with that, we will perform live maintenace on the site today so we might have some downtime while keeping it as minimal as possible. Maintenance is done, registrations and logins should be back to normal.

It's the same one as the discord icon :blobthink: Also didn't we already have a CDN at one point before?

This is true but the icon with the new font looks pretty clean and I like it.

Yes we did when we launched V3. However it was pretty expensive back then for our budget and didn't have that much impact which made it worth the cost. Nowadays CDNs are not as expensive as they used to be, at least to my understanding and it doesn't hurt us budget-wise.

It's also just a test I'm doing for a week or two to collect data and then decide if we keep it or not.
