Chen Weixing Launches Blockchain-Based Taxi App

China: According to a report from China Money Network on Monday 28th May, the founder of Kuaidi Dache a Chinese ride-hailing company, Chen Weixing, in partnership with Yang Jun is making plans to launch a blockchain-based ride-hailing app. Yang Jun is a co-founder of Meituan.

According to Weixing, the app will offer a number of lifestyle services, which include ride-hailing and deliveries. Yang said at the 2018 China International Big Data Industry Expo:

?Ive been asking myself whats the value of the blockchain. My definition is to see whether and where people can actually use it. With the use of blockchain, we can build a set of economic systems different from the previous onesWe can direct traffic from the Internet and add on different services to meet users needs.
