Nice shots, H . Just a suggestion though, as much as possible do close ups in a well-lit environment for best results. You see, 1st image looks sharp while 2nd image doesn't look as sharp due to limited lighting (probably unnatural lighting?).

Canon has good starter SLRs. You can also try getting good deals with 2nd hand cameras since brand new are quite pricey.

Thanks, these were just a tester.

They were both taken in near identical locations on my desk with the same artificial light on them.

I'm learning more and more every day, so soon I'll be good at it haha

Photography is a fulfilling and terrible thing to get into. It's awesome when you learn new things and get better at it. On the other hand, the more you get into it, the more you'd want to get all them lenses....and they're expensive af :noh:
