1.7 because the new combatsystem isn't really competitive. Just some random crap

1.8/17.10 is by far the best combat system because of the block hits and there is no shields that slow you down.

1.7.x or 1.8.x ,after then 1.9 it is goin to bad combat system ..

I think it's a good change. In my opinion it enduces more skill into the PvP and PvE.
