Conter Strike is dead ?

Hello, I think of Conter Strike is dead. With Fortnite, Apex Legends, the hackers and the oldest of the game, is dead. Give me YOURS opinions !

500k people watched the major today. All games you listed are not even a few years old. CS will live longer than them all simple.

CS is not dead and won't be dead ever. Sometimes more players, sometimes less but this game will be 4ever.

Counter-Strike lost alot of users during the gambling scandel but the true fans of counter-strike stayed. Although with there recent decision to make the game free to play and you can get Prime without phone verification is slowely killing the game. Since it's easier then ever to cheat in the game.

I agree. The 5v5 model promoted by Counter Strike is losing its appeal. Bad decisions from Valve coupled with the cheater's culture will lead the game to its death.
New ideas and genres came and will come to take its place, like the newest BR. Yeah, Apex, I'm looking at you.

But also you must realize that the gamblers also over inflated the numbers, no other game had as bigger problem with gambling than CS.

Also agree, f2p is aids, prime is mandatory, but you also have Faceit and ESEA if you're looking for serious competition - well maybe not ESEA..

I feel like if you wanna have fun in competitive counter strike you're required to buy some third party website so you can match make through them. Going through the base game of CS:GO and trying to match-make causes issues as now the game is free to play and you most likely need prime to have fun or have some friends to queue up with. Although I don't think CS:GO will ever die you can't really find another game that does it like Counter Strike does it.
