DRM is essentially code in digital products designed to prevent copying and distributing it illegally. It's a pretty broad term butthe most common method is that theproduct is sold with a unique key required for it to work. So let's say a gmod addon's files are leaked but they lack the unique key. Although the files are there, they are missing the key component so they won't work.There are many ways to go about it though. For example, I believe the way the creator of VC Mod does it is by disablingaccess to anyone who leaks it, therefore dissuading the original buyer from leaking it as they will then be short 30 bucks. Maybe he can confirm or deny this, I know he is around these forums.

I'm not a coder (yet) so maybe I got some parts of this wrong but that's at least a surface-level explanation for you. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can chime in on the topic. Either way, DRM makes it harder to leak something because there is an additional process for getting it to work. Normally it's just a matter of time but some DRM is harder to crack than others.

Is it possible to remove the DRM code? Like for example I haven't seen VC Mod leaked, so does that mean that nobody has ever been able to remove the DRM code from VC Mod?

Pretty much. It's one of the most popular paid addons so if someone had been able to crack it by now we'd be seeing it everywhere.

Why is it so hard then? Because its really easy to access all the code.

Yeah, I already bought VC Mod and I use the legit version. But still it should be possible to remove it even if its hard right? If you put enough time
into it.

I found one, but it does not work because the SteamID you set is not the same as the buyer, so impossible to get it

how can i get this addon ????
