Even with a good rig dedicated to mining I wouldn't recommend mining btc. Altcoins would be a smarter choice.
As for you, you won't be able to make profit in terms of generating more cryptocurrency than your electricity bills.

Bitcoin mining in 2018 is a horrible decision. You're better off mining Bitcoin with a pickaxe

It is not very profitable to use your home setup to mine BTC. Something I would look into, is renting machines that are built specifically for mining crypto-currency, and I would choose a more stable currency. The best thing to do is get involved in some BTC-related forums, there are some experts out there that could lead you in the right direction.

Another thing that is more profitable than mining, is currency exchanging. There are folks that will pay you up to 20% to exchange their Paypal funds to BTC.

In a word no, you would be better off mining one of the Alts like Monero and converting it to Bitcoin!

im not a professional but I think if you jumped in it early then you would of made quite decent profits I think now its quite a waste... a lot of competitors with bigger machines. I watched a documentary on it these guys are billionaires that have got warehouses and everything
