I need advice on whether it is possible to ensure the security of my server, if you do not use third-party hosting, please help those who know

Try using TCP Proxies I guess? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Get a good host, most hosts have a way of preventing DDoS attacks by changing your IP

Go with a decent host. Just not NFO. Most have DDOS protection out of the box. It isn't 2010 anymore.

Yeah... I would go with a server host that already has DDOS protection. There isn't much that you can do to get anywhere as close to the hosts that design their network with DDOS mitigation in mind.

NFO honestly would just be a good bet for running a server. Yes they are pricey, but that have good mitigation for any attacks.
