If you guys have played DarkRP for awhile and see how it has changed; you would know what im talking about but many posts have been made about how darkrp has changed from a place where you fool around, build and have fun. Now it has changed into something many people got used to but deep down they don't know what darkrp used to be. DarkRP is all about mugging, kidnapping, raiding and hitmen when it used to be a place where people could fool around and have fun. There are many complaints around the darkrp community, inducing from me and even the darkrp gamemode creator.
DarkRP is much less fun then it used to be. The rules are way too strict and leave no room for creative roleplay. Players bitch too much about rules being broken and admins are way too fucking keen on putting players on a roof when even the slightest thing is beyond precise protocol. I get the fact that someone coming onto the server just to kill people and break rules can sometimes always ruin the fun but the fact that the rules of DarkRP has changed brought this upon the community. Some people find fun where there is not for others like breaking rules just to get banned and so forth.
I believe that DarkRP isn't ever going to change back and even the creator FPtje has stated that he knows darkrp isn't going to magically change back to how he once wanted his gamemode to play out.
I have left two links about what people think about the changes, you want to read into this topic if you wish. I also want to hear from you guys if you like the way darkrp has turned out or if you miss the old days.
I believe that DarkRP should still have rules but not as much and not as harsh. Again, if you guys have different idea's or agree with mine I would like to hear about it in the comments.
I actually kind of like the way it changed. Maybe I'm not the one on this, but raiding and being more bound to role-playing rules is pretty fun. But I guess some people miss the older DarkRP.
I don't think mugging, kidnapping, raiding and hitmen are that bad, those are still aspects of roleplay that people like if you're into that kind of stuff. What I don't like tho is that some servers have OP weapons which make you feel like you can't raid anyone without getting insta-killed.
