Datapack similar to Finder Compass?

I try to keep my servers vanilla with the exception of server datapacks (which are amazing btw). There are a FEW quality of life mods that I've always enjoyed having but I'm wondering if they can be implemented using datapacks instead of mods.

For example, the Treecapitator mod is now available as a datapack. What I'm looking for is a datapack that does something like the FinderCompass mod.

Does anyone know if that would be possible using a datapack?
