Yeah, but they can add that you can add a real ban on top of a self ban. That would be a very simple solution to fix this problem.

Don't see the point tbh since there's already option to ban yourself temp but you just have to request to a staff member which is called vacation ban, also no need to ban yourself if you need to be away etc don't login lol simple?

I'm most of the times not active here at all or just leave for a while and don't login.

We email users when they're temp banned and have a deal dispute against them.

Interesting idea, though possibly not needed. As far as I know, contacting a moderator can get the same result.

Starfola if this was implemented you would be banned 6 days out of 7 because after being banned by staff for the 15th time, you would ban Yourself as a meme

That's a nice idea. I think this is how you did that on LF users had the option to do it manually if I remember correctly.

It was like this but we definitely didn't have the option to ban ourselves for more than 1 day. Max was 18 hours.

@OP: not supporting unless implemented in the same way as Leak (aka short bans). Granting people the ability to ban themselves for weeks or a month is just going to end up giving more work for staff since there will be cases where they'll come back crying to get unbanned because they thought they could stay away from the forum or, as said above by some users, using it to ban yourself when you plan to pull a scam off.

It's better if we keep long bans as it is now, just request staff for one.

What does 2FA have to do with the ability to self-ban?

What I stated in the thread was just a rough example not what it should be like. Also, if someone wants to self-ban then they have no right to appeal since they're the one who wanted to self-ban in the first place. And Staff can easily email the user if that was the case like stated above. Also, reason thought it'd be a good idea was for staff can't deal with needless request each time someone wants a vacation ban for a week. But, yeah for long bans like a month it'd be better to request it from staff since they won't be getting spammed.

It's not like they get 10 vac ban requests per day even if it's just for a week. q-q
So it's a 50-50, I guess. Sure, add it but no week+ bans - either implement like on Leak or make it so it's 3 day max.

Yeah, I think 3 days will be enough since if they want something longer they can ban self for 3 days again.

I'm confused as to where your mind was when making this post because 2fa has nothing to do with anything in this thread.
