Denied "I'm Away" Doesn't Actually Do Anything

The away option when you edit your profile doesn't seem to do anything as far as it seems.

I think it should at least display on your profile that you're away, and change your green square orange or something, and when you hover over it, it shows the reason and return date.

I think this would come in handy for group owners, and members in general. It would be nice to subtly tell others that you're going to be away for however long.

I noticed this a long time ago, but didn't actually ask about it.

The only thing about it is mine says away till 12/31/9999, so I don't know how many people would use it how it was intended to be used. I did that on the first forum just to have a yellowish icon under my postbit. Idk how the away thing works because I have seen when some people post their postbit activity square is yellow showing away.

I saw the yellow postbit thing like once, and that was it. Yours is green for me.

I'd also suggest for it to be heavily limited to a year or something.

This would be an interesting new feature to see. I certainly agree that only an Orange bulb on the postbit is not enough to indicate someone is away for any reason, you'd have to find a post made by that user and then check if it's green, orange, or offline.
If we could indicate it somewhere between here , it would not crowd the profile page, keeping it subtle and easy to find may users seek interest to that.

It's an unecessary default feature that comes with MyBB. We'll probably remove this since it doesn't have any purpose.
