Denied Limited thread creations to new members

Listen, I know we want "leechers" to experience the community and eventually become apart of it.

But i'm honestly sick of digging through sections to find a thread I want to partake in. Theres a million of the SAME questions in all subs that require a yes or no answer or a simple statement, and they make these just to get their post count up. I like usergroups because I can avoid this. But theres so many good subs and so many good threads by good members that I would love to find in the overall forum.

If NEW members weren't allowed to create threads in all the general boards we'd have such a cleaner board and more participation, higher quality answers. IDK it's hard trying to dig through threads when theres 5 threads called "hows ur day" or "whats the weather like by you"

Quality over Quantity. I know how you feel and I also want this to be done. It's annoying that New Members gather Credits by typing pure "bullshit".

Let's say there is a serious member who's going to join, would it be fair to let him/her suffer from this restriction?

I said limit the thread creations for a certain number of days or posts.

A quality doesnt need to post 5 "quality" threads in a day.

at least make it like 15 posts before they can exceed 1 thread..

I think there should be a probationary period of sorts. Honestly. Or prevent This Or This threads its aids tbh

Exactly this. It's just like leechers help out other leechers so they can come in and give one sentence responses with a bunch of exclamation points then dip. Leaving us with a clusterfuck of threads we have to dig through :l

You are on point with this conversation. DO NOT FORGET <<<>>> The This or This Thread creator, gets banned and the thread left there for use to hang out on and just get away with sitting there.

It would be good to limit them to the other forums but allow them to freely create threads in the Announcement Sections and Introduction in general.
After 5-15 posts they could automatically be group promoted allowing them to freely create threads throughout the forums.
However this does run the risk of potential members leaving due to their limited thread creation permissions.

Im sorry, but I think new registers on day one must wait 24 before posting threads, I see way to many threads opened and the OP is banned. I feel if the OP is banned the thread should go with him, when it comes to no avatar newbs

Bumping this cause I didn't get a yes or no, I still think there's some way we can get around this or a different solution :c
