Denied Option to tag by doing @Name aswell as @UID

As you know you can tag someone by doing @TheirUID but instead of wasting time I think it'd be better to be able to also tag by doing @TheirName for everyone as it'd save time for everyone instead of having them have to search for the member and then their UID and all of that.

Yes I support his option. The only thing that could be a problem would be the stealing names feature. Someone would have all their mentions ruined by a single name change, which is why I think its based on their UID in the first place.

He's not saying remove the @UID.
He's saying along with the @UID, you can do a @Name.

Yeah I know that's why I said option, but they probably won't be able to make this happen due to the ability to change your name.

And why would that matter?
Leak does the same exact thing as this suggestion and it works fine.

Would be nice to have this so we didn't have to go find the UID of the user.

the actual script for this would change the post to @uid when someone posts @name to avoid that

Ah ok seems simple enough. Then I have no problems with this suggestion

It's UID for a reason. Just use simple logic.
