Hello, here is my first suggestion to try and stop people from bumping old threads.

You guys should add a bot that automatically closes all threads that surpass the given date. This would stop new usersand old users from replying to them. This would be helpful to everyone because they won't get a warning, and the staff doesn't have to worry about any necroposting being done.

So new users will just spam new threads? No point, why not keep a discussion going if it is interesting.

This could work in the open forums but leaks however wouldn't be ideal. So I kind of agree on this for all sections which aren't leak sections.
The main reason I'm against the leak sections being locked is that some people report stuff as link down, but we wouldn't really be able to monitor these.
Please read the award requirements here before applying for them.

this already exists, they're auto-closed in 1 month actually
not sure if it applies to leaks though

edit: it's lounge only. support for it to be done to other sections in the same fashion, but not leaks - only close the ones that don't work, manually (aka how it works now).
Awoo~!

1 year seems like a bit of a stretch, it should be limited to certain threads because some people revive their own threads if it's needed. Like a guide for example. If it was 3 months that would be good

Okay but what if a thread is relatable after a year? What then?

it wouldn't be closed
and even if it is inactive yet 'relatable' the op or whatever user can just ask staff to unlock it?

That would mean Staff has to handle even more requests. Closing a thread means people can't ask for help, if we would really have to close threads automatically, I'd suggest that we should also remove the link. There's a huge chance that in one year, the link will be dead, people would still pay for items to unlock even though there's a 95% chance the link is fufu.

but how does that solve anything, why is closing older threads such a big problem that staff has to start checking them lol
