Visit a doctor, I've been through depression, he gave me some meds and tips, and I feel a lot better! Don't give up on your life, just ask for help, and you shall receive!

hink about yourself, your city, your social behaviours and friends. Maybe you should think about your goals and move to another city/country.

Try and force yourself to say yes to all opportunities. Kinda like the Yes Man movie.

Please seek help and take care of yourself. I just couldn't do it anymore and I tried to kill myself with my mother's drugs for hypertension and alcohol when I was 16, didn't work, when I woke up in the hospital and saw my mother I realized I couldn't do that. So I got into drugs to feel better for the moment. After 3 years of that, I now have epilepsy with several seizures every day and medication that impairs my thinking, I fucking hate my life and wish I had just tried to seek proper help.
Worst is I still do drugs because I feel I have nothing more to lose, if not my life, and it's not so important to me.
Please don't be me. I beg you, don't do anything stupid, you might not wake up but if you wake up you'll regret it your whole life and it will make things so much worse. Please take me back 3 years ago, when I was just depressed, not chronically ill...

There's all the harm we'd to to our families and our close ones. And there's a big risk of failing, esp. in countries where guns are not allowed. I failed and now I face lifelong consequences.
You are really rude but I agree euthanasia for depression should be legal. Anyway, what are you doing in this thread?

Trying to tell you, that depression is only a thought which you created.

I don't think so, I've never been happy as long as I remember. When I was in primary school I would come home every day crying because I had no friends. At home my father and my mother were very violent, not towards me but each other, I had to open the door for the police more times than I can count.Middle and high school people made fun of me and I had developed severe social anxiety, so I would just tense up and stutterwhenever someone was talking to me. It got so bad that my teachers kept telling me to sue the bullies.Do you really think I would have done that to myself if it was just a thought I could get rid of? I know others are worse off and still happy, but I just didn't have the strength to deal with all that. I wish I did, trust me.
I'm glad you don't have to deal with that but chronic depression is a serious illness...

It isnt so bad. being thankful and humble and generally making the best of things will make your mood better
