The fact that things can get successful without everyone agreeing on the design of it (Layout of reddit, car models, clothing) is proof that you don’t need to cater to everyone. In fact a lot of times focusing on a niche gets you further.
theres functional design...this one is not really subjective i think. other than that it absolutely is. i mean im sure everybody has a type of product/graphic design they just dont feel comfortable with, but you will always find somebody who loves exactly this one. this is the definition of subjective for me...so meh. dont agree on this one.
