aandddd that was the only thing keeping my slight activity : - )

rip anime group our activity was actually good

If a member is paying $400+ for a group they should be able to choose what they want with it whether its active or not, its their group. If they wanna own a group and be the only member in the group, why cant they lmao.

why are people paying $400+ to have a group that requires them to meet the standards of you aoki? Anime might we well just be sold now cause its the same thing as the one in the general category. Cinema should be sold because its the same thing as the general category.

groups are supposed to be fun where all the members in the group have a place to talk to eachother. Why dont you make it so if group owners arent strict with their members theirs a possibility they get a group suspension for a period of time?

I'm not "eliminating" the core of most groups, I'm disallowing their shitty spam in it. And that's my right to do so whether you like it or not.
If group owners want to create a lounge based on their group topic, that's fine with me like I said. I just don't tolerate any spam anymore. It's been enough.

I don't care how much someone contributed. Of course I respect them, yet do I not treat them any differently than a member who just registered. Taking sides or making exceptions is not something I can and will do in my position on this site.

You'd think that after paying an exorbitant amount for a userbar they should at least have a separate chat.

Also these people can still just spam in regular lounges. This doesn't change anything regarding spam

Just to make this right. I never sold a group for $400. You were the one who bought a group for $250 and sold it for $400 two weeks after to make some profit.
Nice try tho.

Great, so now lounges just get renamed to group discussion threads.

I mean its not the end of the world youll just have to rename your lounges and talk about your groups niche and less about other stuff.

Althought this is gonna killio groups cause while the blame goes on the group leaders its more like the users not wanting to post new threads that kill groups nothing the group owners can do about that other than kick them then have an evern deader group.

I am looking forward to seeing the results of this decision. I guess I'll be seeing more interesting threads in group sections now haha.

Sounds like we'll have to actually enforce "quality" in group lounges so you don't get rid of them, huh? Would be so much nicer if we could do that without waiting for staff, you'll see what quality means if you do.
Awoo~!

After reading everyones feedback, I've decided to give group owners two more months to improve the quality of their group sections, which means that lounges will stay for now.
However, if I personally don't see an improvement in quality in the timeframe of two months, I'll enforce the new rules and make them even stricter. (This will also only affect groups that failed to do so.)

To sum this up:
  • Group owners have two months to improve the overall quality of their sections and posts within the sections.
  • More focus on niche related discussions than on offtopic ones.
  • If group owners fail to improve the quality, we'll enforce the new rules and disallow lounges for the specific group which failed to do so.

Hopefully most of you see this as a wake up call.
Also closing this to prevent any more autism. Get help
