The hell does that mean. The only power a group leader has is kicking people out of groups. And let's face it if someone posts LQ content or spams once no ones going to just kick them from the group outright. And another thing, it's not like group leaders areable to see and monitor every single message in lounges unless you added some sort of group report system.

Maybe you did but I think you should've spoken with the group leaders about this. You probably could've ended up with a better resolution then to completely eliminate the core of most groups.

And Senpai's literally one of the top contributorsto nulled, I think it's a little harsh to say something like "it's not my fault people like you don't respect this rule." He's clearly ticked off that you're screwing up the groups he's spent so much time maintaining. And I understand the same goes for you, you're trying to maintain the forums as a whole but I feel like this is a step backwards. Activity has been doing so well recently.

I'm not "eliminating" the core of most groups, I'm disallowing their shitty spam in it. And that's my right to do so whether you like it or not.
If group owners want to create a lounge based on their group topic, that's fine with me like I said. I just don't tolerate any spam anymore. It's been enough.

I don't care how much someone contributed. Of course I respect them, yet do I not treat them any differently than a member who just registered. Taking sides or making exceptions is not something I can and will do in my position on this site.

I'd have no problem if lounges were about the topic the group is based on. That'd be completely fine with me and always was.
However, most lounges are used for offtopic discussions, which aren't relevant in the slightest. It's the same type of spam we delete outside of group forums.

If group owners are not able to moderate their sections, I will put rules in place. Simple as that.

I completely understand that. I just think regarding Groups like Vixen. I don't think the other groups will suffer if they just change there lounge a, for example, Anime Discussion Thread or Manga Discussion Thread only talking about these things in the group but I don't understand how a group such as Vixen would have any activity granted it has more than one general something to talk about such as games and anime along with culture. It makes it insanely hard for newer groups as well.

I don't think that leaders have the power to remove posts sure they can warn them via implementing a group warning system or something along the lines I just find it a bizarre way to make it, so the spam stops.

Lounges are a massive part of groups to some people a group is a place to spend time having conversations with your friends while it's true that I think more time needs to be spent on talking on the group's niche and subjects I don't think removing the lounges is the right way to go about it. The activity of groups will diminish considerably.

It's near impossible for a group leader to moderate every single post in a lounge and I don't think its right to kick someone on their first offense either.

But as Gantai stated some groups can't survive on a lounge that's strictly about their niche, the conversation would die out quickly. If you want less spam then why don't you make some sort of group report system. It's pretty hard for Group leaders to monitor every post I'm sure you can relate being someone who has to take care of massive forums.

And lounges are a pretty massive part of groups if not the "core" that's where most the activity is, people like to discuss freely with people who share the same interests. That's why this is such a big deal.

Groups are meant to have a niche or topic, projects and a general purpose. A group is not meant to be a place to spam with your friends. You can do that on any sort of IM service, you don't need a group for that.
Also, I've always represented the sight of quality of quantity.

Then ask yourself, why have a group related to something you can't talk about all day? It makes no sense and has no real purpose.
That's like me opening a forum about sports when I have zero knowledge about the topic.

It's not all the group is about but lounges are a nice place to just chat with people you share common interests with. Groups aren't full a spam maybe I was just in the right groups but I've never really seem spam. sure there are some generally lqposts here and there but that's going to happen everywhere. in both responses, you seem to be dodging my question so I'll ask more directly "If you want less spam then why don't you make some sort of group report system. It's pretty hard for Group leaders to monitor every post I'm sure you can relate being someone who has to take care of massive forums."

Groups seem to be pretty expensive so it's odd to me that you don't confront the group leaders first when making a big change like this, blame them for not maintaining the groups well enough but then don't give them enough help to maintain the groups properly.

Why would we need a group report system? Seems like a waste of time coding it.
We have a report button which suits every situation. Everyone is able to use it.

I think he means more along the lines of a report button to show the leaders of the group who is posting a decent bit of Low-Quality posts so there can be a system implemented where leaders can have it easier since they are moderating it. In my opinion this I think making something like this would be a better solution than removing the lounges.
I did only join a bit ago, but the quality of posts will not get better by removing lounges. The activity and quantity of post will diminish a lot though. If we're going by both and not just one. I have always figured a balance doesn't hurt.

You're just now figuring this out? I swear I mentioned it somewhere that groups serve no purpose other than "general spam".

I guess this just makes having successful user groups a whole lot harder, instead of increasing quality of user groups i think activity will drop dramatically inside of them
