Discord vs Skype

I used to prefer Skype, but recently began a move toward Discord. I find Skype too crash-prone and buggy now, and Discord is very stable. It also gives a wider username choice.

Discord is like a modern version of IRC.

Me and my friend used to use skype only. Then i told him about discord and when we used it was a night & day difference, about 2 weeks later we tried skype again and he just sounded horrible. Also discord has free channels that are open 24/7 and you can join anytime.

Discord: Text chatting in larger groups

Skype: For actual talking, since it doesn't cut off the sound (thanks to constant streaming, unlike Discord)

Constant streaming is not always a good thing.

I prefer Skype. I think It's just by default.....

I used Skype for a long time but now, there is some alternatives like Discord or Slack that are more usefull than Skype. I prefer Discord instead of Skype.

i feel like discord is aimed more towards community's rather than Skype as Skype is for like smaller groups. i prefer Skype
