Honestly I think the possibilities of finding another form of life on a distant planet to be incredibly low. The chances that earth was to be habitable and grow to give us a chance to evolve was incredibly low, almost absolute 0. If there are aliens out there we're not going to live to see them, the universe has existed for 14 billion years, they've either already gone extinct or they've yet to exist. The human race will long-be-gone before they ever start to evolve to become intelligent.
