I have had the following:
Lip pierced
Eye brow pierced
Cheek pierced
Ears (lobes and cartridge)
Nose
I have done all of them myself and have eventually have taken those all out.

I currently have the following:
Nipples pierced
5 tattoos

Looking forward to getting more tattoos in the future.

That is an impressive collection! How did you do them yourself, with a needle? I know to people younger than me that might seem like a dumb question but there was a time when piercings were done with piercing guns and they were pretty cheap to buy (I have no idea if they're still around. As an adult I go to real piercing parlours now haha)
I thought of piercing myself but for something like my ears I was scared that if I did both I wouldn't be able to keep the sides even.

That said I have two piercings in each ear, my nose pierced and only one tattoo, but that one tattoo covers my entire back so most people don't believe me when I tell them it was my first.
I'll probably get more in the future, but it took me a long time to decide on that one so I want to think hard one what I'll get next before I commit.

Yes when I was a lot younger I used a regular needle but then I switch to hypodermic needles but my nipples are the only ones I went to a parlor for. My tattoos I have 1 that I went to a parlor for and 2 of them was at a tattoo expo and the other 2 was in someone's living room.

Ah I love it!
I spent the last of my teen years in a house where tattoos, piercings and homemade alcohols were the norm so I can just imagine some of the stories you must have behind them. The closest I've come to a DIYis helping a friend re-pierce her ears several times as they kept growing over quite quickly no matter how long she'd had them. I may actually, while quarantined, take a crack at adding a few of my own, just to my ears mind but since no parlours are open, why not?
I haven't been to a tattoo expo, do you just go to their booth and get them done on the spot?

Yeah you just walk up to them discuss your ideas of a tattoo and a general price and they just tell you to come back in like a half hour or so and they will have something drawn up.. if you like it or want any changes they will do it on the spot and then yes you go inside there booth and get a tattoo in front of everyone.. it's kinda awkward when people are just staring at you while your being tattooed but it was well worth it. Some booths obviously charge more then others and so you walk around getting a idea of the person you want to tattoo you and prices.. sometimes there are famous artists their but I wasnt lucky enough to get any by anyone famous

Oh man that I understand (to a much lesser extent), the guy that did my back had several people coming in to watch him work and while it was only one or two at a time it was tough to hold my pose and pretend I wasn't half naked in front of strangers.
I assume they couldn't have been huge pieces if they finished them in a day? Maybe my guy was slow though so I admit I don't really know. I'm kind of assuming you get a good discount for being up in front of every one?
I can't imagine the waiting list to get someone famous at these places, although again when I got mine I was looking for someone to match the style I wanted more than anything else so if Joe No One in the back of his garage was the only one who could give me the look I wanted I would have gone with him, haha!
Did you take control of your tattoos or did you let the artist do as they will? Sorry if I'm being nosy, not many people outside of me and my siblings that I know have tattoos so I'm deadly curious about everyone's thought processes. I do a bit of drawing myself so I went in to an artist with my sketch and we worked on it together, kind of making it a collab, but I know my oldest sister went through the artist's album and picked something and asked for a few changes. I think all methods are valid, so I hope you don't think I'm judging, like I said, I'm just kinda curious.

No. I can agree that tattoos are very effective! But firstly, I believe that a clean body is much more beautiful. And secondly, my mood changes 15 times a day, I avoid everything long-term and I dont understand how you can do something with yourself that you cant go and wash / erase / remove.
Yes. I cant say anything else but just yes. I agree with this entirely. (I also got mood swings)
