I loved playing as a kid, sometimes would like to get into it for the nostalgia. They're still good games too. Especially when you're stoned.

I have always loved MInecraft, its kind of like a love-hate relationship though. I will play it for months, then I will just get sick of it and not play it for years, but I always come back eventually. I usually play on Factions and such, but also play minigames like Skywars and such.

In my mind it's like Garry's Mod.
Don't call the game boring, it's the servers you find.
Finding the right servers can make the game 20x better.
