Been thinking about this today...

Is critical thought something that is coded into our DNA? or do we just develop it by being taught.

imho, i think it is developed by our knowledge and experience. I better not to said anything I dont know if I dont have that knowledge or minimum, the experience. I better listen first and find out.

like i think about how some people are just not good at critical thought- maybe cause theyve never had to be

And then i think about crows or cats who are actually quite good t critical thought when they have to be.

or octopus, optopus are very smart and critical thinkers

So its not just a human thing

I think only to an extent. I believe as scrum said I think some people are not bad at is, they are only as good as nature had them. Since we are so adept with everything we must have some critical thought, maybe some people more then others?

No. Humans are irrational, driven by emotions then quick making discussions.
