I can definitely tell the difference. It's all about how much you value the food, though. If you are fine with the difference in taste then it's a nice way to save some money.

I like the real deal, I'm a high roller and need to flex with the real oreos not the knockoff

Brand name earned its name trough work and experimenting. But I give shot to new food store, if its good I use it for less money rather than 'expensive' stores.

Sometimes off-brand tastes worse sometimes it tastes better

I was about to say the very same thing. I can't tell the difference in 99% of their products and they're like half the price as well which is always nice.

I think they generally taste the same. Mostly just packaging differences

One thing's for sure, offbrand cereal tastes a million times better. Always.
