I once heard of a hunter and hunted theory. Briefly explained, aliens that are advanced enough would never make contact with other civilisations because the risk of extinction would be too high. So they hide. And the other group wipes out other civilisations for exactly the same reason before they themselves are wiped out. This theory scares me.

Aliens do exist, some scientists had found a living specimen on mars. But if you mean like intelligent I also THINK they do exist, or at least hope they do because its hard to belive were the only ones in the whole universe.
