Do you think you can learn highschool stuff via games?

Playing certain online games as a 12/13 year old got me interested in things like HTML and CSS - 20 years later I make a living from operating my own websites so I definitely credit games for helping me to learn valuable things.

I think your entire education should not be based on either of these only. Highschool is very partial depending on your country you might miss a lot on the real history and geopolitics of our world. On the other hand game are games whatever they 'teach" you.

Yeah, I agree with most everyone here. You won't directly learn high school knowledge from games, but if you approach them right you can get into modding or making fansites and pick up programming or design.

Absolutely. A lot of my current knowledge with Adrinos is because of the knowledge I got from Red Stone in Minecraft.
Minecraft is a very good beginner's introduction to the concepts of Electrical Engineering.
Learn about the NOT gates and how you can use them to create things.

As you get into more complex circuits your machines get smaller and more compact.
Also you learn how to wire things in different directions - trying to wire a house in Minecraft, so that the circuity remains hidden in the walls?
Yeah - that's simplified version of what electricians do.

Minecraft has been one of the best teaching tools for engineering and design.
I learned a lot from it, and this was after I graduated for college! lol

That depends on the game, I certainly learnt a lot from assassin's creed games but it not that accurate.

If you're using a game designed for it, sure. Or a mod pack designed for that purpose for a game that was originally not.

I learn to speak english with Minecraft so yes I think !

I mean you're not going to ace your AP calc class thanks to garry's mod but many games teach you useful skills. Much in the same way that living life gives you experience.

If you're interested enough and play enough games you're bound to learn something that is at least based on real life science or history. That being said there are a ton of educational games out there already. So to answer you: yes!
