Does Gmod servers dying?

i missed old days when Sandbox and TTT was full of players, Prophunt was full too, ahh, sweet 2016-2018 year, but 2019 now, so i can't find any big server that have normal ping and not lag as servers with bunch of donates, im one who have that trouble?

Ya servers die eventually, some stay active for many years but after all most die.
