Does anyone else's PC get absolutely tanked by gmod?

I don't know why but the fps on gmod is always so low on servers anyone got an idea why my PC specs are:
Ryzen 5 2600x
GTX 1050Ti
24GB DDR4 Ram


Any help would be appreciated lmao

It depends what server you go to. If you're going on DarkRP servers, don't expect your PC to be able to handle the millions of addons they throw in there.

Totally depends on the gamemode. If you have a busy build server you'll lag no matter what due to the multitude of items spawned at any given time

there is a certain command you can chuck in your autoexec.cfg that will turn your game into a flawless machine but i dont know if there are any bugs
