most def lmao, i dont think "happiness" itself is bought by money but the idea of no money vs having money isnt a new one by any means, and money def buys the things that makes you happy

The relationship between money and happiness is nuanced and varies from person to person. While financial stability and the ability to meet basic needs can undoubtedly contribute to a sense of well-being and security, the correlation between income and happiness is not linear. Studies suggest that once individuals achieve a certain level of income that covers essential requirements, the impact of additional income on happiness diminishes. Beyond the satisfaction of basic needs, factors like the quality of relationships, personal fulfillment, and meaningful experiences often play a more significant role in long-term happiness. Additionally, the hedonic adaptation phenomenon suggests that individuals may adapt to higher income levels over time, leading to a relative stability in happiness. Therefore, while money can certainly enhance certain aspects of life, its ability to buy lasting happiness is limited, and a more holistic approach that encompasses non-material sources of well-being is crucial for a fulfilling life.
