If you want to use miner on your PC then I would not suggest to do that, because you will pay more for electricity, than you will "dig" crypto. Unless you have very powerful GPU which cost a lot money.

Okay, first thing you might want to consider is not using Minergate. They are paying you less than I should have, because they take commissions from it. For example, if you mined 1btc from their software, you might actually mined 1.5btc if you use a direct mining pool.

So my advice is: choose the coin you want to mine, and research for it mining method on bitcointalk website.

Have you communicated with support? You should know that the problem is related to you.

Restart your computer... If that doesn't work uninstall it and reinstall it. If it still doesn't work then I would contact support or use a different miner.

It sounds like you're having 1 of 2 problems:
- The firewall is blocking access
- The SSL certificate isn't installed

2Gud4U Firewall
In the first case, check your firewall's open ports and make sure Minergate can access the internet by using an open one. If you aren't the network admin, ask the figure that does that. Friendly reminder, your router may have that port open but make sure your computer permits access to it as well, if you're using Windows just check the Windows Defender firewall settings, if you're using Linux you probably know what to do.
Windows Users:
- Search Firewall and open up "Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security" which should be the first result.
- Click on the "Inbound Rules" tab on the left side of the manager.
- Select "New Rule" and specify the port and/or protocol used (TCP/UDP).
- Allow the connection and just finish the lil' wizard.

Linux (Ubuntu) Users:
- Open a terminal.
- Use the UFW command to insert the port that needs to be opened.

Code:
sudo ufw allow (Port)/(Protocol) --> Example: sudo ufw allow 80/tcp
- ufw is the main firewall manager in Linux Ubuntu.
- allow opens network traffic through the port.
- Port determines the actual port you want to manage.
- Protocol specifies the protocol you want to manage.

Fucking SSL Certs
If the SSL certificate isn't installed, you might be surprised but you have to install them (Check them with VirusTotal if you don't feel like trusting someone called Infamous):
Intermediate Certificate
Root Certificate
Note: You have to download and install both of them by double clicking and following the installation wizard, after that restart and the SSL certificates are installed and active.

If the program still isn't connecting, try directly contacting Minergate through support sending the exact error verbose:
Minergate Support
Do you prefer to be Infamous or forgotten?
