No. The actual rate at which you earn keys does not change. It just seems as so since you're leveling up a lot faster which would be less keys per level. The rates are the absolute same regardless of which event is taking place ( excluding double cryptokeys )

I've seen a video that explains it too somewhere.
They double the exp but they don't double the keys, so if you were to play a game and earn 5 crypto keys say and gain a whole level on double exp, when there is no double exp you'll get 5 crypto keys and half a level.

This means you can earn 10 crypto keys per level without for example, rather than 5 on double exp.

EDIT: In fact, they even have double crypto key weekends which just proves my point. They don't double on double exp weekends, otherwise it would be a double crypto and exp weekend.

You're thinking way to far into it. The crypto key rate does not change, period. Been playing this game for 20+ Prestiges now, I'm quite sure I know what I'm talking about.

No no, honestly its true. It's not quite as drastic as my example, but overall you do get less crypto keys per level/ rank or what not.
You wouldn't have really noticed, especially if your score changes per game etc.. the only reason I noticed, was when someone explained to me on reddit.

Exactly, per level. Because you're gaining levels faster. What I'm saying is that the rate you earn crypto keys in each game mode doesn't change.

Exactly the problem, the fact that it doesn't change. It should change once double exp hits. But it's not a noticeable difference, very minor.

You're literally changing your statement. You just said that it DECREASES during Double XP. But now you're saying that the rate is static. It should not change during Double XP because it's XP and not Crypto Keys. Otherwise, they would've activated Double Cryptokeys.

I never said it decreases during double exp, it stays the same while the exp doubles so you still get less crypto keys per level on double exp.
If both double exp and cryptokeys was in then it would be like x2 done properly.. but if it's just x2 exp you do get less crypto keys per level.. try it lmao.

As confirmed from David himself. Cryptokeys are NOT based on level/rank/xp. You gain cryptokeys per game. No matter how many levels you earn, it's based on each game you play. Therefore you do not earn less. I'm not going to say it again, because I know what I'm talking about after completing 20 Prestiges of this game.
