it was 1.8.1 beta the first time that they added villagers in the game and when the herobrine shit was blowing up the most me and my friend were playing on a server that i hosted and we thought the villages were built by herobrine and the first time we found a monster spawner we thought herobrine was after us and we were too scared to play :D.I couldnt sleep that night.good 2012 man.

1.2.7 gang. Honestly the best version without all the retarded mobs.

The game was in alpha first time I played, but I didn't purchase till post release. Had no time. Bit disappointed in myself really. I think seeing the progression of it during that gap would have been enjoyable, although the whole having to start fresh per update is annoying.

The oldest version I really played on and also the oldest version I have started with was the old Beta 1.7.2... It's great fun going back to that version as well

1.2.3 was the earliest version that I played minecraft. I liked the fact that it was not as complex as the current minecraft versions with taming and all the other new addons. But seeing minecraft advance and gain population is still nice to see.

I remember buying the game at 1.2.1 when they added jungles and ocelots (I think my memory is slowly fading over the years)
