All your server are belong to Ebola
Ebola Mod is an addon for DarkRP which simulates the propagation and spread of the Ebola virus.
How does it work?
Every X minutes (configurable, default is every 15), a random player will become infected with Ebola. That player must seek medical attention in the form of Ebola medicine, lest other players around them become infected with the virus.
Common symptoms of Ebola include coughing, bleeding, and seeing red. If a player has ebola, they will audibly cough and produce a pile of blood, either on their body or at their feet.
How do players get Ebola?
Ebola is extremely contagious. Players can contract Ebola in a number of ways:
- Randomly catching the virus every X minutes
- Being around a player who already has Ebola
- Leaving the server while infected, then rejoining
The only way to cure Ebola is to purchase and take Ebola Medicine.
Is this addon configurable?
Yes! Here is a list of stuff you can easily configure in the config file:
- Chance (1 in X) of being infected after a player coughs near you
- Frequency of each cough, in seconds
- Infection radius - how far away from a coughing player will Ebola travel?
- Ability to freeze players for 1 second while they cough up blood
- How often to infect one random player on the server
- How many players need to be on the server in order for random infections to happen
- How much the Ebola Medicine costs
- How many Ebola medicines one player can purchase
- You could even modify the addon to create your own spreadable virus!
