This is probably the most exciting year in Hip-Hop since 1996 when Tupac declared a coastal war against The Notorious B.I.G and every other East-Coast rapper.

Eminem just halted the rotation of the planet with his surprise-album Kamikaze. Social media went into a frenzy when Slim Shady dropped a link that led to his 13-track LP.

Many had already regarded the legendary MC as a washed lyricist that dropped a subpar offering with Revival.

It seemed that the media and the Hip-Hop community had turned against the Detroit rapper, calling his collaborations with Beyonc and Pink a corny attempt to remain relevant on radio circulation.

The poor output of the album even spawned a negative criticism from his longtime Slaughterhouse cohort and Shady Records artist, Joe Budden, who wasted no time in calling for Slims retirement.

Well, Eminem just called checkmate on his haters with Kamikaze. He leaves no stone unturned on this highly charged response to every single person or bot that expressed doubt about his ability to produce critically-acclaimed material.

#Kamikaze: Tracklist

This time around, Eminem leaves his emotional attachment to healing the world with aspirational music at the door. On Revival, we were met with a reflective man who has withstood lifes adversities.

He put together a body of work that was meant for those who needed motivational support. However, in Hip-Hop, that is not enough.

The drug-influenced mumble rap and trap beats rule the day and central messages about saving lives died when the community denounced Macklemore.

That is why he sought after the help of lyrically-acclaimed Joyner Lucas, You will remember his politically-charged Im not a Racist music video that re-energised the conversation of separatist politics in the US.

It is not surprising that Royce Da 59 made the cut on Kamikaze, the Bad Meets Evil duo have always been in competition about who the greatest is between the two of them. However, it blew our minds to realise that the lyrical contest unconventionally took place on a Tay Keith instrumental.

Jessie Reyez, the Canadian singer also made an appearance on two songs.

Track List:

1. The Ringer
2. Greatest
3. Lucky You featuring Joyner Lucas
4. Paul (Skit)
5. Normal
6. Em Calls Paul (Skit)
7. Stepping Stone
8. Not Alike featuring Royce Da 59
9. Fall
10. Kamikaze
11.Nice Guy featuring Jessie Reyez
12. Good Guy featuring Jessie Reyez
13. Venom (Music from the Motion Picture)
