FINDING BACKDOORS!!!!!

Hello fellow gmoddersit has come to my servers attention that some sneaky little sam has possibley backdoored into the servers stuff. Now we arnt sure and it could be me overreating and acting like a primary school overprotective mother or maybe not. Just asking if anyone has good idea of ways to check for backdoors where to look some signs of backdoors etc. Yes we have Cac and other basic anticheats. but they are far from perfect

What you could do is look into some autorun lua files, look for strange methods and such, also a keyword you can look for is "admin" and "superadmin" because I remember a backdoor very hidden inside my autorun that gave a certain steamid admin as soon as he came in.

Every autorun lua file should be looked into after downloading an addon, I can promise

just monitor network traffics & see if there are any suspicious transferred data

CAC always seemed to be the closest to being like VAC but you're right it's far from perfect. ALWAYS check your autoruns. I had one that has sense died where the author got admin from joining and he used it to grief my server.

Use CAC instead of VAC as vac doesnt support gmod i dont think

It supports it, but a very old version of it does. It is no longer updated is what you're thinking of

Always look into your ULX admin list and who has been accessing the server with permissions they should not have.

Let's be fair if you use leak addons sir im afraid it's just part of the deal, unless you pay your kinda going to expect it whether people say it or not.

Just check all addons on superadmin giving and autorun files which can start without access
