Yeah but you have to be careful with fast dl , as it could break the lua files

How could it break files, all you're doing is uploading certain files e.g sound,models,textures, etc to a webhost for the player to download.

I think you should utilize both FastDL and Workshop, as sometimes people disable the downloading of addons via FastDL, and you need to actually have a link for them to use to get all of your addons.

You can make an automatic download via the Lua file, then you will not need fast either, because it is only needed to load the textures

Id use FastDL, SOOOOOOO MUCH quicker its crazy! I use it on a few servers I own.

FastDL is good for people have a good connection but for people have a bad connection the collection is better

FastDL is usually used for materials, sounds, and any other small items that aren't on the steam workshop by default. Most users have that disable so you should use the workshop.

FastDL is better for the players. Workshop can make a problem for players *like missing models* or something else and it's boring for players. Choose FastDL always.

Predownloaded data's very compact. If you need anything, before download. After use.
