Mushishi had never been underrated. It's great for sure and it was recognized by many.

Nah, s2 is about dragon girl. Feel free to drop it because it really is crap.

I mean it should have been reached a bigger audience for how good it was. I never heard anyone talk about this anime even around when it was relatively newer. I didn't start watching anime until sixth grade which was like 9 or 10 years ago. So I mean the anime aired in 06 so that might of been why but even then it's still an anime I felt like didn't reach as big an audience as it could have.

It's obviously because Mushishi had never been in a mainstream genre. But even so, it managed to get amazing ratings and recognition.

Eh. Slam Dunk is way better in terms of Setting and Character Development. KNB is mainstream. *stabs*

Yeah I must agree, the SD's story is overall better, but for me, it isn't enough (& tbh the visuals are outdated). KnB has this exciting action aspect I love in animes, that's why I prefer it.

Saying KnB is underrated was a bit of overreacting, it's probably because I'm watching the 3 seasons again, I'm way too hyped

"Tbh the visuals are outdated"
Lol. What do you expect from 90's? Studio's from 90's don't have enough materials yah know. So its understandable if their visuals is poor. If you only judge an anime because of visuals then you need a help. I bet you like all shounen mainstream anime.
Btw plural of Anime is Anime. Not Animes.

KnB last game is way more hype. x)

You will always heard or see it if you spend your time lurking in MAL forums (Anime and Manga Discussion) or Anime & Manga Reddit. It's the same of Natsume Yuujinchou series (all seasons of Natsume Yuujinchou have an amazing rating and recognition) Tongue

Chill, I love Slam Dunk, it was just a way to explain why I prefer KnB actually, I think it's necessary, or at least normal, toconsider this aspect on anime. I'm not judging it only on visuals tho, I admitted Slam Dunk has a much better story/overall setting/characters development.

By the way, yes, I love shonen (even with all the b#tching people give it). Honestly, I've always found the complaints around it snobby. Most of the time shonen dislike just seems to me like the tendency people have to just dislike popular things because it's popular.

(Sorry for the mistakes, like for Animes, I'm not a native english speaker, I've still a lot to learn, thanks for the correction)

Nah. It's okay. It's my fault as well. You can Hate Slam Dunk. I dont mind. Haha. It just that, i got triggered after seeing that sentence "visuals are outdated".
I personally enjoy classic anime and they are the main reason why until now..i'm still watching anime.
I understand we all have different taste. So i can't push mine either. I just don't like someone saying ill about it when majority of them (classic) are not trash.

Thought so. I like shounen but sometimes its annoying when you see similar setting & concept (e.g plot armor). No. People dislike it because it's cliche. (clich story, clich mc and so on) yet more popular than any other anime. (Pretty much the reason why i prefer Seinen). People get tired of it tbh. Once you've seen enough anime, your taste will gradually changed.

It's okay, i apologize if i'm rude or something.
I only knew that few months ago. Haha
(We both are not native English speaker tho.)

Aaah! I love that Anime. It's one of my favorites. Seen it way back I was a kid and re-watch it 2 years ago. It's a hidden gem. <3

This ^

Well, I watched neither SD nor KnB, but still, I liked a lot of anime from 1999-2010. And here is one thing - some of old-school things were so detailed and high-quality, that some modern anime with modern visuals feel to be empty if compared.

Also, yeah, it really depends on the animation studio. last year I watched some...eh, don't remember what... but seasons were made by different studios. So I found season one was very detailed and alive, while s2 was like...eh...slideshow?

My disappointment was deeper than the ocean.

I remember that there are 2 years between those 2 seasons.
